CPA suite

CPA suite gives mobile operators the capability to deliver a wide range of services to subscribers in cooperation with partners.

Examples of services made possible by CPA suite include:

  • SMS voting, for example as part of a television show
  • Premium SMS services such as phone directory lookup
  • Bulk SMS services such as appointment reminders
  • Location based services
  • Payment solution for purchasing tickets or goods
  • Simplified access to web sites from mobile clients through IP based authentication

CPA suite is configured via a web based management application.

CPA engine

ProductEngine

CPA engine provides easy-to-use APIs for:

  • SMS and MMS messaging
  • Payment (both charge and refund operations supported)
  • Subscriber location

Subscriber identification can be via means of MSISDN, IP address or anonymized token.

CPA engine supports both pre- and postpaid subscribers and uses a reserve-commit charging model to ensure that subscribers are charged upon receipt of ordered content. To protect subscribers and to comply with regulations, CPA engine can filter content based on subscriber's age and can reject over-charged traffic when a subscriber's monthly usage limit is exceeded.

Supported interfaces between CPA engine and the network include SMPP, CIMD2 and MM7. Supported interface between CPA engine and the operator's subscriber database is SOAP.

CPA engine includes the following management modules:

  • Product management - configure the list of products that should be offered
  • Price management - configure startup and recurring fees, traffic prices, revenue share percentages, volume dependent prices and more
  • Partner management - enter contact information, addresses, usernames, passwords for external partners
  • Support tool - search traffic logs to answer subscriber queries
  • Credit tool - reverse transaction to refund subscribers
  • Self-administration - enables partners to modify technical information such as receive URLs

CPA engine provides tools for monitoring system health, including traffic levels and inactivity. Alarms and threshold levels are configurable. CPA engine integrates with operator’s network management system using SNMP.

CPA financials

CPA financials calculates the revenue split (settlement) between the operator and the partners.

CPA financials offers the following functionality:

  • Settlement report generation
  • Settlement approval process
  • Calculation of startup-fees, recurring fees and traffic fees
  • Read-only access to own settlement information for partners

CPA financials includes the following management modules:

  • Settlement management - view current and historical settlement reports
  • Settlement approval – work flow based process for periodic approval of settlement figures
  • Fraud detection - display abnormal deviations in settlement data

CPA financials can be integrated with the operator’s own invoicing system.
